She hails from Kansas City, trekking to our neck of the woods in 2012 with her husband Ray and daughter Anna. She's been working in the Episcopal Church (as ordained and lay staff), for more than fifteen years now, and her focus in ministry has been a lot of successful work with parish transitions (like the one we are currently enduring), outreach and healthy church growth and dynamics. She has a varied background in higher education and law and is even a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
Audrey and Ray have three children: Jeremy who lives in Seattle, Patrick who lives in Ulan Bataar Mongolia, and Anna who is in school in DC, and four grandchildren. Inside scoop: She has had "Contra Costa" experience too!--including St. Timothy and St. Paul's in Walnut Creek, where, we hear, they liked her so much they wanted her to stick around after interim-ing, that's a great sign, right? :) We know she's never met anyone like us (!) and we know you'll all be on hand to say hi and welcome Rev. Audrey to St. John's at 10:00 for service. Music from members of both churches enhancing the service and a group of Grant Street Players decided to drop in as well, plus a more-than-usual food and friends gathering afterward.
